AMA Recap & January Highlights: Cross The Ages 2025

Happy New Year 2025 to the Cross The Ages Community! 🎉

We are excited to begin this new year with all of you and share some key updates about what’s coming next. Let’s look back at the highlights of late 2024, including the AMA during Heroes Legacy, and introduce the upcoming events in January.

Introducing the Roundtable System

The Roundtable System launches in 2025 to create a direct dialogue between players and the Cross The Ages leadership team.

How it works:

• Frequency: One session per quarter.
• Location: Live on Twitch, with a dedicated Discord room for added interaction.
• Participants: Five representatives elected by the community, joined by three members of the leadership team.
• Format: Each representative submits a topic in advance (max. 1 page) and has 5 minutes to present, followed by 5 minutes of discussion.

Update as of January 13, 2025:

Following the withdrawal of Voss (Pops Gaming) and the unavailability of the 6th position, Manela (Artellium Post) will step in to represent the community during the Roundtable.

Next Key Date

• Tuesday, January 14, 5:00 PM UTC: AMA. Submit your questions via the Portal using your Cross The Ages account. The most-voted questions will be answered live, offering clear and strategic insights.
• Tuesday, January 28, 5:00 PM UTC: Roundtable #001, with the representatives you elected. This session will provide an opportunity for your ideas to influence the future of the project.

Here’s what you need to know as we begin 2025.

TCG: Stats and Gameplay; Social Features and Tournaments

Q1: How many unique players do we currently have ?
A1: The team did not disclose the current number of players. At the moment, there are not many active players. The team is waiting for the right timing, i.e. after the release of Patch 0.26 with an updated onboarding system to drive mass adoption and higher player retention, to start again acquisition campaigns.

Q2: Why has the gameplay update taken so long?
A2: The update was not satisfying enough for its initial timing before TGE, after that a lot of resources have been put into following TGE updates as well as updates for Tokyo Game Show such as the Collection update. It is now again the focus of the team as highlighted in a recent video and we want to make sure it is not gonna be disappoiting. This is also why the community is invited to participate in tests sessions starting from early 2025.

Q3: When can we expect in-game tournaments and guild system? Is it still relevant ?
A3: Until the DAO is in place, no in-game tournament system will be launched. The DAO will handle the rewards sponsored by CTA (e.g., Heroes Legacy or Amber League).
The Social Patch featuring a guild system will come after the Adventure Patch (1.0), more details on the matterin 2025.

CTA Tokens: Utility and Mechanisms

Q4: Burn system expectations
A4: This topic has been covered during the last AMA. This is something that has been considered, but we have nothing to announce about it yet.

Q5: Holders' benefits from company/IP revenues
A5: No direct system (such as dividends) for holders as CTA tokens are not company shares. However, increased IP revenues mean greater ecosystem adoption, which improves the performance of all Web3 assets (CTA tokens and NFTs).

CTA: Mint Passes and Rewards

Q6: New perks/utility for Mint Passes
A6: We aim to improve how Mint Passes interact with the Staking system, making them easier to use once Staking v2 is live. The intent is to make them a “catalyst” of staking rather than a requirement, enabling various perks for holders and stakers. More details will follow after the blockchain migration.

Q7: NFT Holders incentive | Flex/Eternal vs Static
A7: We are working on a unique mechanism reserved for Flex and Eternal, which will be unveiled in the TCG Rewards Patch. This mechanism aims to reward those who complete collections. It is linked to the new Identity system, including a “scholarship” function. Until then, Static and Flex/Eternal share the same reward level. Also, Eternal cards remain the only tradable ones, provide access to the physical version, and are required to defend Eternal Lands.

Arise: Lands

Q8: How will the first sale be done for CTA token buyers at $0.25
A8: CTA Tokens can be used for various ecosystem purchases not only Lands. Land prices will be determined purely by the market price of the CTA token at that time...

Q9: CTA Factory state & results
A9: Development is progressing well, and we aim for completion by Q2 2025, aligning with Arise's playability.

Q10: Is the business model viable/interesting?
A10: The original question is quite complex/long to be answered quickly during an AMA, this can be reviewed during a Round Table for example..

Blockchain and DAO

Q11: Blockchain choice criteria
A11: At the time of the AMA, the team was in the final phase of selection. An announcement will be made as soon as possible. This choice will solve many issues that arise on Immutable X.

Q12: Role, scope, and interactions of the DAO
A12: The DAO will manage Cross The Ages' Web3 dynamics, including land, rewards, and tournaments. All Web3 asset owners can participate. More details will come with the first land sale.

Nexus/Portal: Market Exchange

Q13: What is the Market Exchange?
A13: The Exchange Market is designed to trade “Web 2.5” assets like Trisel, Eternal Stones, and Flex Rolls for CTA Tokens. It will be exclusively available on the Portal and directly accessible from the TCG. More details will be shared in January.

CTA: Company Operations

Q14: Could Richard do a short video to explain his choice ?
A14: Richard is focused on Data Factory and there is no point in making a video about that.
