Lands & RWA: Project Status & Future Outlook

The separation between Cross The Ages and Data Factory was finalized at the end of 2024 through a share exchange between Sami Chlagou and Richard Esteve.

  • Sami Chlagou transferred 100% of his shares in Data Factory.
  • Richard Esteve transferred 100% of his shares in Cross The Ages.

This exchange marked the end of all ties between Cross The Ages and Data Factory.

The Role of Richard Détente

Richard Détente, a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) actively involved with the Cross The Ages community and a shareholder in Data Factory, sold all his Cross The Ages assets in early 2025.

By announcing his departure and the sale of his assets, he brought the situation with Data Factory to light, raising questions about the status of the Lands & RWA project.

What is the current status of the Lands & RWA project?

After Sami Chlagou resumed full control of the project, it became clear that the land previously purchased in Oregon was not viable due to two main reasons:

  • Rising energy costs
  • Noise level restrictions on installations

Rather than pursuing an unviable model, a new strategy has been implemented to identify a more suitable site. Advanced discussions are underway for a new project in Dakota, where:

  • Energy and geographic conditions are more favorable
  • A more stable regulatory framework supports project profitability

What’s the impact on the community and the Land sale?

No Lands will be put up for sale until all necessary conditions are met.

Sami Chlagou is currently financing this new project with personal funds—just as he did for the Oregon project—thereby assuming all associated risks during this transitional phase before any public launch.

What’s the next step?

The activation of the RWA project can only begin after the migration to the new blockchain.
A detailed update will be shared once a site is secured and validated with new partners.

Finances & Transparency

Will a financial report be published?

Cross The Ages is a private company and is not required to make its financial statements public. These are available to shareholders only.

What is the current financial status?

  • Team size: around 60 employees
  • Break-even point: not yet reached
  • A funding round is in progress to secure runway beyond 2025 and finance marketing for upcoming launches

Economy & Rewards

What’s the future of the Mint Passes?

With the migration to the new blockchain, their role in the ecosystem will be clarified. Further adjustments will be announced in due time.

WD Collection & Impact of Crafting

The team is assessing the impact of the new crafting system on the WD collection—a topic raised during the last Round Table.

At this stage, no official announcement has been made.

During the blockchain migration, certain assets such as shards and tickets will be removed. Any further action regarding this topic will be addressed at that time.

Blockchain & Token Migration

Why were 100 million tokens moved to Bybit?

None of these tokens are intended for sale. The majority will be used for the migration process.

They were deposited with our main partner, Bybit, in preparation for this transition.

A portion will be transferred to the new blockchain to enable a direct bridge between Immutable X and the new chain.

Gameplay & Competitions

Will the TCG be ready for HL 2025?

The HL 2025 event is still scheduled for November.

Testing & Competition Schedule:

  • April–May: Internal target for the first "Blast" test phase
  • May: Test Phase 1 of Arise
  • Late Summer: Start of qualification phases
  • November: HL tournament during the Hero Festival

What is the e-sports roadmap?

The focus in 2025 will be on:

  • HL 2025 featuring the new TCG gameplay: BLAST
  • Supporting community tournaments, with no major expansion of the e-sports scene planned
